Canada has been increasingly affected by forest fires over the last few years.

One local carpenter wanted to do something about that - Steven Brezen, the owner of TimeTree Canada.

"We are a Canadian wood watch company that gives back to Canada, every time we sell one of our products, by planting trees to one of the affected areas of Canada that have been decimated by forest fires. To help us accomplish these goals, we have partnered with Forest Recovery Canada - an organization who has made it their mission to repopulate Canada's trees."

The company sells male and female wood watches and they also have sunglasses.

They have been able to restore some forested areas in Canada thanks to some smart partnerships with the Forestry of Canada.

These trees are planted throughout Canada, but the primary focus is on La Ronge, Fort McMurray and Kelowna.

"To help show how much of a difference we are making, we have an active progress board on our website to show where the trees are being planted and how it's all coming together in Canada."
