Yvette Moore and her gallery are celebrating a milestone Thursday for the 25th anniversary of a book that features her illustrations called "A Prairie Alphabet".   The book that hit store shelves across the country and libraries from coast to coast, depicts life on the prairies while also launching Moore's career to a new level.

Moore said the book is not only enjoyable for those who live here, but it provides some education.

"We also use that as a tool to go back and talk about it and bring back those stories." said Moore. "We've been so lucky through it all because the book has sold over 500,000 copies which is really unusual feat for a book."

Moore provided the visuals and teamed up with Weyburn's Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet for the creation of the book.

A gala celebration is being held Thursday evening and you can find out more by clicking here.
