Moose Jaw's Simpson Seeds is known around the world for their work, sending seeds to 80 different countries but in recent months, their getting attention from the fashion industry out of Turkey.

The bags that the seeds are shipped in have to be tough and one man in Turkey decided to recycle the sacks and make purses out of them, which he sells for anywhere from $10 to $100. John Simpson is Vice President and Project Manager of Simpson Seeds and thinks the bags are a great choice for material.

"I think it's the colour and the lamination of the bags." said Simpson admitting that he's purchased two of the bags himself saying they're great quality with liners, straps and zippers. "It was a complete surprise that someone in Turkey would take that and turn it into fashion."

The purses were brought to his attention by a local backpacker who noticed them while in Turkey and spotted "Moose Jaw - Saskatchewan" printed on the side.
