The Moose Jaw Public Library has announced that they will be having programs throughout the summer for not only kids, but adults as well.  The feedback has been overwhelming and the library says that they keep hearing that adults want to have fun reading, too!

Summer is typically a time when reading slows down despite the best of intentions and Jessie Marchinko, the assistant head librarian at the library, said, "We've heard from so many people that they want a contest, they want a challenge, they want some kind of community experience that they can participate in."

So the library decided to do just that and are ramping up a summer reading program for adults to get involved in. Marchinko added that she thinks people will want to get involved for more than just the love of reading as there will be door prizes and weekly challenges that will get readers entered for draws.

The summer youth programs also have lots of fun planned including the summer writing club, maker nights, and a "Rainbow Blast Tie-Dye party" on July 22.

For events like tie-dye, you will have to pre-register, but most of the other events are open to everyone all summer long. You can find a full list of details and information on their website .
