If you'd like to learn more about RuBarb Productions and their future, now's your chance, as they are holding their annual general meeting this Tuesday, January 30th.

The meeting is open to anyone who would like to attend and learn more about how the production company is doing, as well as what's to come.

"Things are progressing quite nicely. There's been a ton of performances and a lot of progress at the school of performing arts," said RuBarb's President of the Board, Glenn Hagel. "So the growth of opportunity for young people but also the combination of musicals and other plays that have provided theatrical experiences to people in the Moose Jaw area."

RuBarb has not only been able to provide the theatrical experience, but has also improved Moose Jaw's cultural vibrancy and the economy, as many people who come to the shows are from out of town.

Like Hagel said, there has been great success with their shows and their School of Performing Arts, especially for students who are attending.

"I always had a thing for performing," said Bella Brett, a student at the school. "I did dance before that. I knew I wanted to get into more singing, dancing and acting and Rubarb really offered that so I switched over from dance to Rubarb because it offered dancing, acting and singing so that really was working for me."

This meeting is also a chance for people to become members of RuBarb Productions. Membership is open to volunteers, flex pack and season ticket holders, and donors who have donated more that $125 in the 2016-2017 season.

The meeting runs from 6 pm to 7 pm this coming Tuesday at RuBarbs office at the Cultural Centre.
