The annual Kettle Campaign hosted by Salvation Army branches across the province is typically the largest fundraiser for them throughout the year.

"It allows us to generate the revenue we need to provide the hampers," explained Major Dan Broome.

Their hampers are filled with toys for children, gift cards and other items that go out to people who signed up for the Christmas Assistance program and are in need this holiday season.

Moose Jaw's Salvation Army kettles have been out and about at various locations the past few weeks.

You can see friendly volunteers working the kettle at Co-op, Safeway, Town N' Country Mall, Wal-Mart, Superstore and the Liquor Board.

All six locations are operated by volunteers who sign up through the Salvation Army office.
