With 2012 right around the corner, the City of Moose Jaw wants to guarentee everyone a safe ride home once the New Year's Eve celebrating is over.

The Ding in the New Year program is back again this year, allowing residents of the Friendly City to ride the bus home safely.

Transit Manager Kim Burnside says the bus will follow a regular Saturday schedule, but some exceptions can be made, "There are pre-determined routes, but we will deviate if there's a function within two or three blocks off the route.  We'll deviate and pick them up."

"We provide the New Year's Eve to keep people drinking and driving off the road."

Rides on the bus are free and will run from 7:15pm to 2:45am New Year's Day.
