The government of Saskatchewan is reporting that its job numbers have grown again, marking 19 consecutive months of increases.

According to the latest figures, 569,700 people were employed in February, which is an increase of 4,900 jobs from February of 2019.

The majority of the year over year gains came in the manufacturing sector and educational services which were both up by 3,800 jobs.  Information, culture and recreation sectors also showed increases, growing by 2,600 jobs.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the province was 6.2 percent.  The national rate is 5.6 percent.

January's report on the southwest economic region, which includes Moose Jaw, shows an unemployment rate of 4.3 percent.
