Saskatchewan is preparing to "ring those phones" with the 44th Telemiracle just around the corner.

The telethon will feature lots of talent from across Saskatchewan, around 70 performers from Saskatchewan are expected to participate over the two days.

Jeffery Straker, part of the national cast, will be performing in his eighth Telemiracle.

"They're from every nook, cranny, corner, highway and grid road in Saskatchewan and they're brought together to represent a cross-section of the province to perform and also represent their communities."

Telemiracle runs March 7th and 8th in Regina with funds going to the Kinsmen and Kinettes Foundation.

Returning stars include Beverly Mahood, Saskatchewan's own Brad Johner, and Jill Straker.

The band Toque which features Moose Jaws Corey Churko will also be performing during the annual fundraiser.

All proceeds remain in the province and will be distributed through an application process. Money will benefit those who require specialized medical and mobility equipment and assistance with medical travel.

"People bringing their talents to the stage and typically bringing a donation, it's honestly my favourite part of the show," says Straker.

This 20-hour telethon has raised over $134 million over the span of 43 years, more money per capita than any other telethon in the world.
