Today (May 31) is Camp Day at Tim Hortons.

Proceeds from coffee sales at Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada today will help send kids from low-income families to one of seven Tim Hortons camps across North America.

Last year Camp Day brought in over $12.6 million across Canada, allowing over 19-thousand kids to attend camp.

Locally, each year four Moose Jaw and area children get to attend one of the camps, and Moose Jaw Tim Hortons owner Don Howe says they utilize the Moose Jaw Family YMCA to help select the participants.

"They've got a lot of exposure with the Strong Kids program, so they're able to identify kids who would really benefit from the camp," said Howe.
