Each year the Moose Jaw Warriors hockey organization partners with two industry giants in our area to help a local agency.

With two initiatives that ran throughout the hockey season, Hunger in Moose Jaw received two large donations during the awards ceremony at the Moose Jaw Warriors final regular season home game.

“Hunger in Moose Jaw wishes to thank Mosiac Canada (Mosaic Points for Hunger), Yara International (Yara Wins for Hunger) and the Moose Jaw Warriors for the donations made to our organisation. We would cease to exist without the continued support of such great partnerships. Each dollar helps sustain our programs and strengthens our mission of nurturing children and families here in Moose Jaw,” said Executive Director, Sharla Sept.

With $27,000 coming from Mosaic and $8,000 from Yara, Hunger in Moose Jaw will now use the proceeds to continue their current programs, one of which provides healthy lunches for children in our city who may otherwise go without. The agency provides healthy lunches each day for over 300 children during the school year, as well as handing out lunches to the various park programs in the summer.
