If you want to protect yourself from the COVID-19 pandemic here are a few tips from the Saskatchewan Health Authority:
- Cover your coughs and sneezes
- Wash your hand with soap and water
- Avoid sharing household items such as utensils, cups and towels
- Clean and disinfect common areas once a day
- Avoid Crowds and vulnerable people.
Some of the symptoms may include fever, cough and difficulty breathing. If you feel you may have contracted the virus, contact the 8-1-1 Healthline and monitor your symptoms for 14 days.
If you are in self-isolation:
- Do not go to work, school or any public areas.
- Cancel or reschedule appointments
- Do not take public transit
- Ask family or friends to drop off food and groceries
Self-isolation should take place for 14 days if you’ve been in close contact with anyone with COVID-19 and those who have contracted the virus but are well enough to stay home.
