The Moose Jaw Health Foundation's longest serving donor, the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital Auxiliary - has supported the organization for over 30 years.

Starting out as the Moose Jaw Public Health Hospital Auxiliary, the group has been contributing to health care in Moose Jaw whenever they can.

Recently, the group managed to pay off the pledge they had made less than 4 years ago. The group of dedicated volunteers made a pledge to the foundation for a $250,000 donation, and finished it off in a big way.

"They actually paid off their pledge early," said Executive Director for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, Kelly McElree. "They made a presentation of over $26,000 to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation and, in doing so, finishing their pledge."

The final pledge payment was made last week, raising money through the hospital gift shop, bake sales, and raffles, among many other initiatives they hold.

"They are just volunteers and the raised all those funds," added McElree. "Through, like I say bake sales and all that, and pledged $250,000."

On January 16th, the group handed over a cheque worth $26,627, paying off their pledge.
