This summer hasn't been the greatest, especially when you look at the amount of rain and storm activity that has hit Saskatchewan. This past weekend saw yet another 50mm of rain fall on the Friendly City.

The rain over the weekend caused some major issues south of town. Steve Shaheen, Communications Consultant with the Ministry of Highways and says crews are working just south of Moose Jaw.

"Crews are working to pump water over Highway 2 at a location about 18km south of Moose Jaw. The highway remains open to traffic, however one lane is closed with flaggers in attendance."

Shaheen says the cause of the flooded over highway stem from a culvert collapsing. He says they have contacted a Consulting Engineer to design and manage the replacement of the culvert. There is no timeline in place just yet but does say that the water will need to recede before work can begin.
