Santa was in town last month for the parade, and he's coming back tonight

The sleigh is loaded, the reindeer fed, and Santa Claus is off for his annual dash around the globe.

Bringing gifts to all the good girls and boys in the world is a monumental task, but Santa does have some help from NORAD.

The North American Aerospace Defence Command annually helps Santa navigate his route, and updates us as to St. Nick's location.

"I think it gives him (Santa) peace of mind, knowing we're watching him and we've got his back, and we're letting children know when he's on his way," says Captain Jennifer Stadnyk of the "NORAD Tracks Santa" program.

"Our volunteers come in around 5am (Saskatchewan time) and start answering phones and emails from children  all over the globe trying to find out where Santa is and how close he is to their house."

You can follow Santa's progress online here, and also on the radio today.  Both Country 100.7FM and MIX 103.9 will be giving "Santa Tracker" updates twice an hour between 4-10pm.
