They're looking to spread some holiday cheer to those in need. The annual Salvation Army Hamper Campaign is back and while it no longer providing hampers to local families, the campaign does provide gift cards to help families purchase groceries and gifts.

Major Dan Broome says they don't want anyone to feel like they don't qualify before speaking with their staff.

"(It's for) the working poor or those just not able to make ends meet on whatever income that you're," explained Broome. "The deadline will be December the 5th and the application process involves an interview and we don't want anyone to feel that there's nowhere to turn come Christmas time. We try to make the process as easy as possible and we don't want to stress people out."

Anyone who needs a little extra help this holiday season can apply by calling the Salvation Army office and the staff will take you through the process.
