Habitat for Humanity Moose Jaw is holding a hybrid Run For Home event from Aug. 1 to 15 to raise money for the duplex being built at 1015 Ominica St. E.

Participants can join in a variety of activities including running, walking, biking, kayaking, or swimming to raise funds for the build.

Registration can be done online, but Habitat for Humanity will also be at the Wakamow Valley Farmer’s Market on Aug. 7 and 14 to take in-person registration as well as give out information about Habitat for Humanity.

“From there they can complete their walk, run, paddle, or other activity of their choice, and then they can come back to the table to receive their medal or certificate if applicable and also get some other goodies the same day,” said acting Habitat Moose Jaw chair Donna Watts.

She added that there will be plenty of opportunities for participants to win prizes.

“We also plan on having a prize or two that all participants will be entered for a chance to win. We're just working on the final details for this event,” she said.

Information on how to register can be found on the Habitat Moose Jaw Facebook page.
