If you’re thinking about volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, but would like more information, an information night is in the works for Moose Jaw.

A date is tentatively set for Aug. 26, although details are still being worked out.

“This information night is geared more towards people who want to become involved with Habitat versus people who want to learn how to become a future habitat family. Although we are of course happy to answer those types of questions as well,” said Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan chapter lead and acting Chair for the Habitat Moose Jaw Committee Donna Watts.

Anyone interested will be welcome to attend as Habitat for Humanity is not only looking for volunteers for their worksite, but board members as well.

“This includes a variety of positions, including a chairperson, volunteer coordinator, and people who would like to be involved in marketing, fundraising, and special events,” Watts said.

Habitat for Humanity is currently building a duplex at 1015 Ominica St. E. as their latest project in Moose Jaw.

More details about the information night will become available in the coming weeks on the Habitat for Humanity Regina and Moose Jaw chapter website and Facebook page
