Not record-setting rain, but the bulk of the ten millimeters that the Moose Jaw area received Saturday seemed at times to come hard and fast.

Saturday morning saw mostly drizzle and on-again, off-again periods and from midnight Friday night to noon Saturday, there was only two millimeters reported in the guage at the northend of the city.

That seemed to change quickly as the skies opened up and deposited another three millimeters in just an hour, shortly after lunch.

The record rainfall for June 17 in Moose Jaw was back in 1954 when they measured over three times as much, for a total of 35.8 millimeters.
