Moose Jaw, Regina, and all of Saskatchewan are still feeling the excitement after it was announced Thursday that the 2020 Grey Cup game will be held in the Queen City.

Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce CEO Rob Clark says that while the game will be held in Regina, Moose Jaw's economy will most certainly feel the impact.

"Common sense to me says there has to be some spill over. It's great for Saskatchewan, it's great for the south and Moose Jaw is going to feel the effect from it. Lots of people will be coming from the west and will have to travel through or stop in Moose Jaw."

This will be the fourth year Regina has hosted the Grey Cup, playing host previously in 1995, 2003, and 2013.

Clark says while he wasn't a part of the Chamber during the last championship game, Moose Jaw's bars, restaurants and hotels all noticed an increase, and he believes 2020 should be no different.

"I would think any of the merchandisers - Ultimate Fan Zone, The Shop, any places carrying Rider paraphernalia [will feel the impact]. Then you have the hotels, I don't know what the hotel situation will be like in Regina but people may have to spill over here, then of course you've got each and every one of our restaurants."

CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie revealed the good news in Regina at a special unveiling Thursday, and Roughriders CEO and President Craig Reynolds says it's a perfect fit.

"We have the best fans in the league, they love the riders, and they love the CFL and support it like no other. It was really important to us as well, it's our 110th anniversary so there's an opportunity to celebrate that all year long culminating with the Grey Cup. We had a lot of compelling points to our bid and I think the CFL recognized that."

Mosaic Stadium as well as Evraz Place will be hosting all of the Grey Cup weeks events, with nightly parties and concerts taking place.
