There's a lot of changes happening in Saskatchewan politics right now and it's not just at the provincial level.  

It's being reported that former federal agriculture minister, Gerry Ritz, is ready to call it a career.

The Conservative MP was first elected back in 1997 to the reform party, he ran a portfolio for 8 years as the Agriculture Minister.

Ritz was a farmer before entering politics and took to social media Thursday to make the announcement as he prepares to step down.
