It's a number of factors that are driving up the price you see at the pumps according to experts.

Dan McTeague, Senior Petroleum Analyst at GasBuddy.com, is advising drivers to fuel up now, as the average price is set at 96.2 cents per litre right now, but doesn't anticipate it staying at that price for very long.

McTeague said warm weather mixed with high demand is mostly at fault for increased prices, but refineries backing up to full capacity for annual maintenance this time of year could also be to blame.

He expects prices to stay on an incline as we approach Thanksgiving but added there could be a drop by mid October.
