Analysts are calling it ridiculous and yet there seems to be nothing to stop it from happening.

The price of gas in Moose Jaw is approaching all time record highs this week as one local station made the move to $1.19 Thursday. Gas stations in Regina made the move earlier in the week. These changes come after a three-cent jump to start the week and some analysts are calling the increase uncalled for.

It’s interesting to note that the national average for a litre of regular this week is $1.15. Checking back to last month we were paying $1.08 a litre in Saskatchewan and year ago at this time we were paying 94.5 cents per litre.
