The federal and provincial governments have announced a large investment to the Shelter Enhancement Program, that will see 14 housing units for victims of domestic violence across the province receive funding.

The announcement this week included $60,000 for The Moose Jaw Transition House.

The project will see improvements brought to 81 emergency shelter bedrooms, add four units of second-stage rental housing, and renovate 25 units of second-stage rental housing for victims of domestic violence across the province. The funding will bring all units to a similar standard of repair, safety, accessibility and comfort, and reduce operating costs.
