The Moose Jaw Humane Society is now accepting applications for the '2020 kitten season'.

You can apply to foster friendly felines until they are ready to be put up for adoption. It could be kittens who lost their mother, or it could be a pregnant cat who just needs a safe quiet place to raise her babies.

Dana Haukaas is the Executive Director of the MJHS.

"So we will be getting in orphaned kittens so something has happened to their mom whether the mom was hit by a car or killed by a wild animal, the kittens were left behind. We will take those in and initially, they need to be bottle-fed every three hours so that includes the middle of the night. As they age you have to help them learn to eat the wet food and then get them onto dry kibble. Once they're eight weeks old they can come back to the humane society and they'll go up for adoption."

After your application is accepted it's under a very urgent basis that the MJHS will get a hold of you to pick up the kittens or cat says Haukass.

Haukass added that the shelter will provide everything you need to able to take care of your foster kittens, including food, bedding, bottles, and formula.
