Originally from Regina, 34-year-old Lyrico Keller is a former gang-member-turned-entrepreneur who has been living in the Friendly City for seven years.

Being bullied, living in foster care, having a different physical appearance due to fetal alcohol syndrome, and losing his 12-year-old daughter and a best friend to gang violence. These were all factors in Lyrico's decision to turn his life around.

The result? Keller is a young entrepreneur who wants to help others who also may not have had a good start in life. Keller's anti-bullying, anti-gang company, UGL Productions, conducts presentations throughout Saskatchewan. The company has also conducted presentations in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Keller also offers a space for folks to come and express themselves. "I decided that I would open up a free studio for anybody that's welcome to come and record and share their expressions, their feelings of music, and why they want to come in and record a track for themselves. Because, you know, a lot of people can't afford it, so we might as well help them out, right? So, we're doing it for free."

Keller wants others to know there is hope after difficult times. "I think other people should hear that there are other people out there that are willing to give other people chances in life, even though people make mistakes in life. I think everybody deserves to hear others speak because I think it would really help to inspire them to make healthier choices and to understand that there are really good people out there."

Always wanting to help those who may have had difficult times, Keller also donated Christmas food hampers to local residents this year.
