We didn't get the rain or the snow that we were supposed to on Monday but forecasters are still warning the Moose Jaw area that winter is trying to move back in.

The latest special weather statement that's been issued by Environment Canada shows a system moving through that could drop 5-10cm of snow. The statement has been issued for a narrow band of communities from the US border, through Moose Jaw and up to the Prince Albert region.

Early in the day, snow was being reported in a number of areas and with the high winds, visibility is being reduced. If you're heading out, it's best to check the road report for the latest conditions because the system is expected to be fairly fast moving.

Since we're expecting to hover around the freezing mark for the day, any moisture has the potential to make things extremely icy.
