A summer tradition in Moose Jaw has taken over the downtown core.  Sidewalk Days is back, kicking off for three days of fun, food and shopping.

Chair Jacki L'Heureux Mason tells us a fan favourite is back with the Deja Vu Songwriters Showcase happening Thursday starting at 1pm on the Grant Hall Stage.

"It's probably one of my favourites... to be able to see these artists who are writing songs that come from within and to be able to share that with an audience, to me, is spectacular."

Sidewalk Days runs 10 until 9 Thursday and Friday, then 10 until 5 on Saturday so that means traffic and parking in the area will be impacted. "(Parking) meters are in full affect so if you come down, make sure you plug them." added L'Heureux Mason.

With the heat and large crowds expected this year, we're asked to leave our pets at home.  The street is going to be extremely hot on their feet and an over heated animal can be unpredictable.
