The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to a house fire this afternoon from the 900 block of Grandview St. The call came in at 4:59 and a fire crew was quickly dispatched to the scene.

Firemen arrived to the sight of smoke emanating from the upper floor of the home. The house's occupants had thankfully already exited the building and were able to direct the fire-crew to the source of the flames in the upstairs bathroom. Carrying their hoses into the house, the firefighters knocked the area down with water and were able to suppress the blaze. They then opened part of the eaves of the roof to ensure that the fire had not extended into the attic.

According to fire officials at the scene, the cause is undetermined. No injuries were suffered.
