Moose Jaw Fire Department are on scene on Highway 1, just across from the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, after a semi flipped early morning Monday.

At approximately 5:30 am, a tanker carrying 50,000 litres of biodiesel had gone into the ditch, flipping the truck onto it's back.

The driver of the truck was pulled out of the cab and taken to the hospital by an ambulance, injuries are unclear as of yet.

Environment company Green For Life Environment is working with the Fire department to empty the 50,000 litres of biodiesel into another truck and avoid an environmental incident.

"We're probably going to be on scene for a few more hours until they fill the empty truck," explained Captian Halsall with the Fire Department.

Highway 1 westbound is down to one lane near the accident for crews to empty the flipped tanker. They expect to be out of the area around 5 pm or 6 pm.
