Christmas came early to Moose Jaw this weekend, and the biggest present went to health care in the Friendly City.

The Moose Jaw Health Foundation hosted their 27th annual Festival of Trees Saturday night at the Heritage Inn.  More than $120,000 was raised, bringing the Festival total to well over $4 million over the history of the event.

The funds will be used to help purchase a piece of operating room equipment called a C-Arm.  This specialized equipment used by surgeons for a number of different procedures at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital.

The evening featured an auction of fully decorated Christmas trees sponsored by a number of Moose Jaw and area businesses and organizations.

The dinner Saturday was just part of what has become a full festival weekend.  Sunday featured the Festival of Trees Brunch and Sundaes with Santa, each raising even more money for the work of the Health Foundation.
