Canadian drifter From Eyebrow Saskatchewan, Jolie Blue has a growing music gig.

His new song, 'The Cooperall Song', is getting plays across the country on the radio and on national sports talk shows, and Eyebrow, Saskatchewan's Jolie Blue is having a lot of fun with it.

Blue explains the tour he went on this fall by himself.

"I'm starting to do shows, I just took a tour this fall, went all the way to Vancouver Island and back. I started in Altona, Manitoba and made it all the way to Port Alberni and Port Hardy out on the island and worked my way back. Got a few shows under my belt, they're going over well but they do better in the prairies. I'm writing a lot of songs about what it's like to be from here, just listening in on 'coffee row' in Eyebrow about whats going on. Rural Saskatchewan and rural Alberta they seem to take to it the most."

The official video for 'The Cooperall Song' can be viewed on Facebook and YouTube. Blue says he made the video himself, with help from his sister, brother-in-law and an old friend.

"Everybody's got a cooperall story it seems. I did find my grandpa's pair in storage and I put them on for some rec-hockey. I knew a cooperall song would be good, I've known that for about 5 or 6 years, but it just took a while for it to show up in the brain waves I guess."

Jolie has also written and recorded a song about former Moose Jaw Warriors' defenceman Johnny Boychuk. He says he's an out-going friendly guy and learning from his previous trip, he's hoping to travel and tour more

"We're just working on one down at the Central Butte Legion which is nice and close. That will be January 31. It's going to be a free show, myself and a couple of other local musicians will spend the night playing some old-time country music."

Blue hopes to see lots of people there, to enjoy some fun and local music.
