Businesses around the country is grinding to a sharp stop, and Moose Jaw isn't immune.

For Local flower shop Evans Florist, business is slower than usual and how the store conducts business has been changed.

Owner of Evans Florist, Tina Couzens, explains one of the changes they've had to make.

"As far as deliveries go, we have always phoned first, but now when we're phoning we're saying we're going to knock when we get there, place it on the door step, and leave. We give them the time that we will be there, within a two hour window."

Couzens added that shes also had to reduce the number of staff working in order to support the business.

"I have, it was kind of a combined decision. I can handle so much business by myself, I talked to my staff and they are a little younger than me and I think some were a little freaked out by whats going on, and they felt safer even though they could work behind scenes. They were worried about me too because i'm a single business owner, that if it stays really slow I couldn't afford to pay them and anything for myself, because you're just one small business."

Couzens added in a recent Facebook post that the store is set up so customers always stay 2 metres away from staff, and that the debit machines are being cleaned regularly.
