The summer of 2017 is starting with an early spring-like feel.

Temperatures in southern Saskatchewan aren't feeling very seasonal and add to it, the high wind gusts and it feels more like the beginning of spring and not very summer-like.

World Weather Specialist Drew Lerner says after the rain leaves it will stay cool, getting down to just three or four degrees in some areas. But as the rain system moves out, Lerner added, "As we go forward into the weekend and into the first part of next week, there will be a strong warming trend that will take place as a ridge of high pressure builds up rather quickly and moves from east to west, across the province."

Once we get through Thursday and Friday with temperatures almost 10 degrees below normal, we're expected to climb back to more seasonal temperatures by the end of the weekend. However Lerner says, rain and cooler temperatures could return again by the middle to end of next week.
