The Earth Rangers are a kids conservation organization.

The group made a stop in two local elementary schools on Friday, May 4th. Those schools were William Grayson and St Micheals

Youth in attendance had an opportunity to meet four different animals, an armadillo, red-tailed hawk, barn owl and ball python.

Josh Mazza is an animal handler and presenter with Earth Rangers and described what Earth Rangers is.

"Earth Rangers is the kids conservation organization, our hope is to inspire the next generation and help protect animals and the environments that they live in which are unfortunately facing lots of threats in today's age we not only had four live animals with us but we talked about the different conservation initiatives going on in the country and how kids can get involved."

Mazza also talked about why it's so important to present to kids.

"We like to focus on kids because kids love animals they have that innate connection to animals and being able to teach them about it and the animals that they already have that affinity for is just a really special connection."

Evon Morhart is in grade 6 at William Grayson school and really enjoyed the presentation.

"Animals are really great creatures and that they all should stay alive."

The education offered by The Earth Rangers goes beyond the walls of where recent presentations were held, as their goal is to help protect the animals and the environment by teaching one kid at a time.
