Doug Griffiths, author of '13 Ways to Kill your Community' will be back in Moose Jaw, speaking at the Grant Hall in the Newly Renovated Parkview room Tuesday, Nov 5th from 11:45 – 1:30.

The presentation will be all about getting the community of Moose Jaw engaged, involved to listen, learn and grow. It will also encourage us to start posturing for growth opportunities through diversity, innovation and change management.

Doug Griffiths talks about why Moose Jaw could and SHOULD be 'so much more'.

"You guys have one of the biggest downtown parks that I've ever seen, and I've been all over North America - outside of New York City. Historic buildings, cultural development with your underground tunnels, you have a lot of experiences on Main street and in your community that are just fascinating. You can leverage that to draw in a lot of next-generation folks who are looking for quality communities."

"Last year was '13 Ways to Kill Your Community', this one is called 'Everything is About to Change' and it was a bit inspired or initiated by working in Moose Jaw and seeing where the future could go. I think all of the rural communities in North America, including Moose Jaw, are ready for a renaissance of the likes of which we have not seen."

He plans to meet with city council and administration after the presentation to follow up on what changes have been made within Moose Jaw over the last year

"It's not up to the Moose Jaw council, it's not up to the administration to build a community. They're responsible for the municipal corporation. Building a successful community takes volunteers, it takes the education system, it takes appropriate housing, the chamber of commerce, business communities, high school students, seniors, everyone."
