Looking for something fun to do over the long weekend? Don't want to make any unnecessary travel? Well, you're in luck.

Lately, more and more Moose Javians are rediscovering the many treasures in Wakamow Valley, including the popular disc golf course.

General manager of the Wakamow Valley Authority, Todd Johnson, says the course is going to be expanding soon.

"We put in nine [holes] last year and they saw some great usage. This year, we're working with the city again to put in another nine...by the end of October we should have eighteen holes in all so we're really excited about that."

Johnson hopes to try and reach an even broader audience with some day-camps in August.

"We're just trying to expand the sport. There are four camps in total on August 19th and 20th. They're free of charge for kids. Folks can just watch our Facebook page to know when registration starts."

The course is completely free and with no registration required, is a great way to have some fun while staying safe.
