Monday's whiteout storm created some of the most hazardous driving conditions we've seen all winter and led to a massive 20-car pile-up on Highway 1 just north of the Wigmore Hospital.

Several drivers were taken to the hospital, but none had serious injuries.

Community and Strategic Services officer with the Moose Jaw Police Service, Taylor Elder, says the damage amounted to quite the price tag.

"From the people who were on scene, they conservatively estimated between 3 and 3.5 million dollars in damages due to the collision. A lot of that was the freight the semis were carrying. Once that freight hits the ground, it's ruined."

In total, the Moose Jaw Police Service responded to seven traffic-related calls during the storm.
