Brand new fitness equipment was unveiled at Crescent Park, hoping to encourage residents to stay Notoriously Active.

The outdoor equipment is overlooking the spray park and playground, so those watching their children or grandchildren can keep active instead of just sitting.

The new equipment includes a chest press and a recumbent bike, making it easy to use for those with joint pain.

This was made possible with funding from the 2018 55+ Saskatchewan Seniors Fitness Association Games and grant funding from the City of Moose Jaw
and Eastside Community Association.

Scott Osmachenko, Recreation Services Manager for the City of Moose Jaw, said this addition has been in the works for a while.

"This has been in the works since the end of the 2018 games, and they presented us with a cheque in 2019 and we got everything organized this year," said Osmachenko.

He also says the goal is to get more equipment in the future.

"It's a popular place, and this is just another way for people to stay active."

Below are a few photos of the equipment.
