A collision has been reported on the Trans Canada Highway near Belle Plaine.

There aren't a lot of details available but the collision appears to have happened in the westbound lanes on or near the bridge.

The weather has caused many closures on the highways in the area from the Department of Highways. Highway #2 from Rockglen to Mossbank was closed and the Trans Canada from Rush Lake to the Alberta border was shut down as well. Travel on the Trans Canada between Rush Lake and Morse was not recommended.

Motorists are advised to take extra precautions. More details as they become available.
