As suggested by administration, the City of Moose Jaw will put the $900,000 they got back from the provincial budget, into captial programming.

The funds were announced as part of the provincial budget earlier this month as the government decided to give cities the SaskEnergy surcharge back, something they took away in the 2017 budget. That budget last year saw millions of dollars clawed back from Moose Jaw and this is only a small piece.

There will be no change to your SaskEnergy bill since the surcharge was never removed, the only change is who gets the cash.  The city is posting a $4.9 million deficit for the 2019 capital budget already, so any help is welcome.
