After weeks of cold, wet weather that has delayed harvest activities across much of the province, combines should be rolling again thanks to a batch of warm air.

It's been about a week since the warming trend came to be but it takes time to dry things out and allow things to get back to normal. Brian Van Wilgenberg says while the colder weather was unusual, this heat wave is rather common.

"We often have temperature swings of this nature in the fall but it just happens to have been unseasonably cold so it's catching a few people by surprise."

Yard clean up has been a very popular activity since many were unable to get started due to the snow. The nice weather is expected to stick around for at least the next week.
