As the school year is coming to a close, Conerstone Christian School Valedictorians reflected over their high school years and prepare to say goodbye to their friends and teachers.

Nathan Godard and Nathan Lewis were both named valedictorians of their class, and both will be attending University in the fall.

"I'm really close with all my teachers there, and my graduating class is like my second family. We're all really close, we get along really well. I like it being really small and condensed," explained Nathan Lewis.

Agreeing with Lewis, Godard also mentioned they won't just be leaving a faculty, they will be leaving strong relationships they've built over the years.

"One of the really cool things about Conerstone is we have awesome teachers, and small classes. So, the combination of those two allows each student to connect with each teacher on a personal level, as well as an academic level. So we've all become really good friends and good friends with our classmates, so everyone is just one family there," said Godard.

He added at their grad ceremony last week, it was one he will definitely remember because it was so personalized.

"It was really cool, the nice thing about having such a small class is they can really take time to honor each graduate. So, all the teachers write up little blessings for you and things they appreciated. And they can go through us individually, it takes about 2 hours, and they go through each of the 14 of us individually...it was a really special experience."

Lewis has been accepted into the University of Calgary for Mechanical Engineering this year, and Godard says he plans to go to University of Calgary for Software Engineering in the fall.
