The owner of Elite Eavestroughing now faces over $23,000 in fines after appearing in court last week.

Operator Lorne Tardif pleaded guilty last Wednesday following the death of a worker. The employee is said to have fallen from a roof while taking measurements on June 16th of 2017.

The charges were one count of failing to provide provision of any information, instruction, training, and supervision that is necessary to protect the health and safety of workers at work, resulting in the death of a worker. Tardif will now pay a $17,000 fine along with a $6,800 surcharge.

The two other charges he faced were withdrawn.
