The Moose Jaw Community Players fill the hearts of not only local residents, but also those around the Prairies.

They recently competed at TheatreFest 2018 in the city of Weyburn, showing off their rendition of Norm Foster's 'Melville Boys' for those in attendance.

Dazzling the judges, they were honoured with four awards - Runner Up to Best Play, Best Visual Presentation, Best Characterization (won by Jarrod Jeanson) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (won by Crystal Milburn). All in all they had a good haul of hardware to bring home, taking 4 of the 12 presented awards at this year's TheatreFest.

Synopsis:

A relaxing weekend full of fishing and football is on the agenda for the Melville brothers. So is confronting eldest brother Lee's terminal illness.  But their trip is thrown for a loop when the boys meet two attractive sisters who inadvertently change more than their weekend plans.  In this modern Canadian Classic, Norm Foster offers a tender comedy full of vigor about brotherhood and the unexpected.
