Highway 1 traffic was briefly impacted late morning on Tuesday following an accident.

According to RCMP, they were called around 11 am for a report of a collision, upon arrival first responders found that a semi with two trailers attached had driven into the ditch. Officers say the semi hit the north ditch, crossed over the roadway again before traveling into the south ditch, along with hitting various trees during the incident. Thankfully the trailers contained nonhazardous materials and first responders cleaned up the contents that had hit the highway.

The incident took place roughly 3km east of Moose Jaw and on highway 1, where traffic was down to one lane for about an hour while emergency crews treated the driver of the semi and cleaned up the accident.

Officials say there were no injuries reported, but are asking for help in identifying a vehicle that may have been involved in the collision. If you know someone who drives a light coloured SUV, potentially a Ford Edge, that may have been near the accident on Tuesday please contact the RCMP.
