The right combination of vision, teamwork, and leadership, that's what Clive Tolley says is needed to become the next mayor of Moose Jaw.

Tolley is a professional mediator and arbitrator and has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for years.

He says that shopping locally creates more wealth and jobs in your city.

"The more money you spend locally, the more people we attract to live in Moose Jaw, the more housing we have, the more money we have to spend on essential services," says Tolley.

"The economy requires us to spend money locally."

If elected, Tolley would bring changes to the downtown area.

"I would love to see River Street revitalized, we have a tremendous group at the tourism centre, and the Tunnels of Moose Jaw is very successful so if we could have another attraction and more things to do on River Street, it would bring more money."

He also wants to save the 4th Avenue Bridge and planning for a future bridge around 16th Avenue.

Crescent Park and the serpentine are also on Tolley's revitalization list.

"The water in there is filthy, and the place needs to be made safe so the people in Moose Jaw can continue to enjoy that Jewel," says Tolley.

Tolly was a member of city council from 1988-91 and believes that will help him in the race for mayor.

"We did an awful lot of things when I was on council for that short term."

Some highlights during his time on city council were drilling the spa well, purchasing streetlights, paving stones and starting the murals program.

Tolley says he is looking for practical solutions for the problems Moose Jaw faces.
