The City of Moose Jaw has received $10,000 from Canadian Tire's Jumpstart Relief Fund.

It was announced in September that Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities would provide $8 million dollars in sport relief across the country to help offset challenges brought on by the pandemic.

"We recently received confirmation that we are amongst 668 sport and recreation organizations nationally to be provided with grant support through Jumpstart's Sport Relief Fund," said Mayor Fraser Tolmie. "We are beyond grateful to receive this news and know how positive an impact it will have on our ability to continue to provide recreation programming in Moose Jaw."

The city will use the funds to help cover additional operating costs associated with COVID-19 safety measures within the city's recreational facilities.
