Those who will be impacted by Phase 5 of the upcoming Water Main Replacement work scheduled for later this year, will be able to have some of their questions answered at a pair of upcoming open houses.

The open houses are scheduled to take place Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 26, both at 6:30 pm in Council Chambers at City Hall.

Communications Manager with the City of Moose Jaw, Craig Hemmingway, gave more information.

"Really it's a detailed explanation of what water main replacement means for you as a property owner, a business owner, or if you're a renter. There will certainly be some disruption to your business or your daily life in terms of accessing your home as the construction moves through your block. So what we really want to do is provide that detailed explanation about the project itself."

Hemmingway also detailed which areas would be affected.

"The four locations confirmed for this summer include Stadacona East from 6th to 10th, Fairford E from Main to 2nd NE, High Street West from Main over to 3rd NW, and 3rd NW from Oxford to McDonald St. Every property owner will have some questions certainly in terms of access to their property and deliveries and those things, we are committed to working with them to ensure those can go as smoothly as possible through the process."

Hemmingway says there's no timeline at the moment as to how long each stretch of road will be closed.
