Moose Jaw's City Hall will be reopening to the public in a couple of weeks.

The city's Director of Communications Craig Hemingway talked about what that re-opening July 20th will look like:

"There are a few key things, including we'll be starting with reduced hours, from 11 o'clock to 3 o'clock, Monday through Friday except of course statutory holidays," said Hemingway. "We will have a commissionaire's desk set up inside City Hall as you come in. You'll have to sign in and answer a few health questions and we'll take your temperature quickly with one of those slick automatic temperature takers."

Hemingway said they will have some non-medical masks available, and that masks are recommended.

Appointments will be needed with city administration officials. The City is also aware of indoor public gathering limits.

"We'll be adhering to all current capacity restrictions, not only of course for City Hall, but also for City Council meetings, and those will be officially open to the public for the first meeting after the 20th, which will be the 27th," Hemingway said.

The city is also looking at an official re-open date for the Kinsmen Sportsplex indoor pool. They'll be filling, heating and treating the pool, developing a new programming plan to adhere to provincial guidelines, recalling, recertifying and retraining staff, and going through a public health inspection. The date for re-opening the pool will be announced the week of July 13.

Yara Centre Day camps and outdoor fitness classes begin Monday.
